Let’s say you want to draw a leprecahuan, where would you start? Thanks to St. Patrick’s Day, the Notre Dame mascot, and Lucky Charms Cereal, you’d have a pretty good idea what to do. He’s short, wears a green coat, hat and some big buckles on his shoes. In Irish folklore, the mishcevious, green coat-wearing, shoemaking elf was known as the luchorpán – and was actually quity nasty-looking and mean (See Myths about St. Patrick’s Day).
